The CADD facilities management team has packed their bags and are hitting the road to attend the 2017 FM:Systems User Conference in sunny San Diego, California. The FM:Systems conference is hosted annually and is a great place to learn about cutting-edge facility management trends and innovations, gather best practices from industry leaders, and see the latest FM:Interact technologies.
CADD is pulling triple duty at this year’s conference. Our very own Scott Eden, VP of Government Sales, is participating in a panel discussion focused on higher education. Scott will be joined by two other guests to present and discuss a variety of topics such as restacking the urban campus, and ways to maximize limited campus resources. Scott has a wealth of industry knowledge and looks forward to discussing the benefits of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and how to start the implementation process.
Jina Noland, one of our FM applications specialist, is also teaching an AutoCAD for FM:Interact course, where attendees will learn how to use AutoCAD floor plan drawings with FM:Interact, as well as the features of the FM:Systems AutoCAD Plug-in, and best practices for polylines, layers, and externally referenced files.
Our other FM specialists are sitting in on all of the valuable sessions being presented as well, so we’ll be able to report back on all the great insights we gain from the various industry experts. We’ll be sure to post those insights here.
The three-day conference is packed with a variety of interesting topics and presentations, not to mention networking events and dinners, as well as an exhibit hall full of vendors – where you can find us to talk more about BIM and FM. You can check out the conference website for more information. We hope to see you there!
