#### On the twelfth day of CADD Care, the CADD team gave to me… A recap of all of our AU Passes videos and webinars!

Education is a core value of CADD Microsystems, and one way we live that value is by empowering the DBO community to share knowledge and connect. 

Every year, technical talent from across the globe submits presentations for consideration at Autodesk University and other high-profile conferences. Unfortunately, not every submission can be selected - not because the ideas aren't innovative or relevant, it's just a matter of limited presentation slots. Because of this, some very insightful and valuable information doesn't get shared to a wider audience. We changed that last year with the launch of our AU Passes series, and we were pleased to continue again this year. 

Here's a summary of our AU Passes presentations - all delivered by your industry peers with expertise to share. We invite you to connect with them as they share knowledge and innovate. And go ahead and submit your ideas to be featured next! 

**10 Years in the Revit API: Lessons Learned & Cool Tricks**

**Deep Dive into Autodesk’s Reality Capture Solutions**

In this session, Matt explores reality capture applications in the AEC, D&M, and M&E industries, and best practices for quickly & easily integrating point clouds into your projects, optimizing efficiency, and ensuring accuracy. 

**Model Coordination – A Comparison of Clash Management Tools**
_Noah Harburger, Ayers Saint Gross_
This presentation covers a brief history and comparison of some of the most popular clash management tools on the market, while providing a general overview of workflows that are used for each software.

**Using Microsoft Intune to Deploy Programs, Updates and Files**
_Omer Mushahwar, Chief Technology Officer & Director of Operations at Torti Gallas + Partners_
As remote and hybrid workforces grow, IT/BIM Managers need a way to ensure Programs, Updates and Files get placed on all employee machines regardless of location. See how Microsoft Intune, along with Microsoft Company Portal, gives companies a way to deploy apps to any computer with an internet connection without the need of VPN, ensuring users are up to date and have the right company setting files while maintaining a secure environment.

**Managing an Effective Coordination Process**

Running an effective coordination process is a challenging task. This presentation reviews a coordination process that brings value to field and operations teams, trade partners, designers, and owners. In this process, trade partners’ expertise is utilized to ensure that what is seen and coordinated in the model can be installed in the field.

**Is BIM a Security Risk?**
_Michael Freiert, BIM Manager / Project Captain at Pope Design Group_
In this presentation, Michael talks about access to data, and what that means for some of the potential security risks that might be impacted by BIM data.

**ACC Model Coordination: Cloud Workflows Supplemented with Navisworks**
_Laura Hanyok, Sr VDC Coordinator, BIM Process Manager at Clancy & Theys Construction_
In this session, we will show the tools and workflows native to ACC Model Coordination with options to supplement in Navisworks. We'll evaluate different aspects of the tools, including ease of compiling models, clash detection processes, issue tracking, communication methods, model navigation, user interface, and integration with existing systems.

Twelve Days of CADD Care | Day Twelve: AU Passes, All Wrapped Up! 

Our industry experts have been hard at work building tools and content exclusively for our CADD Community customers. One thing we’ve heard from a lot of our customers is that the out-of-the box family library in Revit, AutoCAD and Bluebeam isn’t necessarily all that comprehensive. So designers spend a lot of time looking for families to use in their designs.

A group of CADD Microsystems employees developed a Career Day program for 5th and 6th grade students participating in <a href="http://www.wesleyhousing.org/">Wesley Housing's Summer Camp</a>. They visited our office park on Thursday, August 18 to get an inside look at what we do.  CADD employees have been supporting local charities and the community through the CADD Foundation since its founding in 2013.

After a visit to our office space, our first order of business was a 360 degree tour of the view from the top of our office building. We were able to see some great landmarks – The Washington Monument, the Masonic National Memorial, the Fort Belvoir Observatory, and more.

We wanted to show how everything around us – like the landmarks we saw – is designed and built using technology. That the job opportunities within the design, architecture, engineering and construction industries are as exciting as they are varied. We put together a video reel that showcases all the amazing things that Autodesk software helps bring to life – skyscrapers, cities, movies, video games and more.

Next, we guided the students through two interactive activities – building bridges out of straws, and designing a city with blocks based on what cities need – schools, hospitals, roads, etc. And no field trip would be complete without a pizza party, and we were happy to oblige!

This program was developed for Wesley Housing by the CADD Foundation. Our foundation’s pillars focus on community development, youth services, and military support, and we are building programs that address these pillars.
